WEDNESDAY NIGHT ADULT STUDY GROUP usually meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening in the Chapel at 7 pm. Using a variety of DVD curricula, this group explores progressive theology, looks in depth at issues such as racism, deepens our spirituality with programs on contemplation, and widens our understanding of other religions. Sue Evans facilitates this group. Sue is a Spiritual Director who is a member of our congregation. MEN’S FELLOWSHIP meets every second and third Thursday at 7:00 AM in the church Parlor. A light breakfast is available along with a time to share journeys, scripture readings, and prayer.
BOOK GROUP meets monthly at 7:00 pm, either at church or in someone’s home, to discuss the selection of the month. This group uses the Rochester Public Library’s “Book Group in a Bag” kit which contains copies of a particular book and reading guides.
DINNER GROUPS If you are looking to become better acquainted with church members, consider joining. By signing up, you will be invited to join a group of eight for four evenings per year of casual fellowship and good food in a member’s home. The host supplies the main entrée and beverages, while the guests bring vegetable, salad, and dessert. Adult couples and singles are welcome to participate. New dinner groups are formed each August and start that fall; contact the church office to sign up and for more details.
