Sunday Service

  • Worship is at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday and lasts about 60 minutes
    • You can expect to see people lingering in the Narthex (foyer) prior to the start of the service.  Members use this opportunity to greet visitors and catch up with friends.
    • Individuals are encouraged to wear nametags to help create and nurture new relationships.  Visitors are invited to sign a guest book and create a temporary nametag upon their arrival.
  • Children and youth are welcome and valued as integral to our ministry and worship experience.
    • There is typically a children’s time early in the service where children are invited to come to the front of the church for a message tailored just for them.
    • Preschool children thru high school youth are encouraged to participate in Sunday school, or at their parents’ discretion may stay in worship.  During the summer months children thru age 10 can participate in staffed childcare opportunities.
    • Infants thru children age 3 can participate in staffed childcare 15 minutes prior, until 15 minutes after the worship service.
  • Worship bulletins are used to coordinate the worship service.
  • Hymnals and Bibles are available in the pew.
  • A Friendship Pad is passed along the pew at the beginning of the service to assist with folks getting to know those with whom they are worshipping.  The church office also uses this to identify who may need more information about the church.
  • Joys and concerns from any worship participant may be written on slips of paper (found in the pew racks) and passed to the usher at a time indicated in the worship bulletin.  These prayer requests are shared during the pastoral prayer later in the service.
  • There is no dress code; casual or business casual attire are typical.
  • Fellowship Time following the service is integral to the worship experience.  It is an informal time of conversation with fellow worshipers.  It is usually quite a festive time with lots of talking and laughing.  Fair trade coffee, a cold soft drink and treat of some type is served.  Members sign up to host the fellowship.
